UI improvement

Not a bug or new feature, just a little improvement I would suggest -don't know if it was mentioned before:

When changing you economic setting while the right pannel displays the list of planets, this list should automaticly refresh when you change the slider settings, so you see immediatly what impact it has on the production.
When you're trying to optimize you're spendings, you often have to click after each slider adjustment to get the updated informatiom how long the planets will need to build their stuff. Auto-refreshing the displayd list wouldn't be hard to implement, I believe, and it would make adjusting your economy a lot more comfortable.

However, if I'm the only one asking for that or if you ain't got the time - no problem. :) So what do the other gamers and devs think about that?

It woudn't be hard, and if it doesn't drag down the framerate too much, I'll put it in.

While we are at it, It would be nice to know how many credits are needed to complete an item - For example, I want to finish a research project next turn. Currently I modify the sliders (which update the credits spent on research next month) and change over to the research page to see if it will still complete. I do this over and over until I determine exactly how many credits are needed. If the research page showed how many more credits are needed I would not need to do this.

If I remember correctly, the expansion pack will have slider locks - I assume there are to lock down the percentages, It would be nice to also be able to lock down an exact amount

Yellow's suggestion would be wonderful. I assumed this had probably been mentioned dozens of times, so never even thought to mention it.

While I'm thinking about it, I'd love to see a way to automatically maximize income on the domestic policy tax rate slider.

This would be an excellent addition since I currently do hit the planet list as I adjust the 3 sliders to see their exact production impact.

In Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, any production in excess of what completes the project is carried over to the next turn, up to 10 units. It would really be nice to see such a feature in GalCiv. It seems like people are micromanaging their sliders so that they "just finish" projects on their key planets, so there isn't wasted resources.

You did it!! :D :CONGRAT:

Just wanted to say thank you for including this feature in 1.05, it surely makes adjusting the sliders a lot more comfortable! :)

KiRon,
I had the same problem- are you running it from behind a firewall ? Try and refresh it and if that doesn't work, try and run the program as localAdmin

No it's solved now , strangly I had to "reregister" the game , just right clicked on "Galactic Civilizations" , selected "Register Product" and entered SN once again ...
Very strange , probably has something to do due the fact I installed my GalCiv on drive D: , it looks like I am getting a lot of problems because of that , even "SmartException" does not work correctly because it looks for log files on C: and they are created on D: :)

Btw - do not upgrade to 1.05 yet :( , the governor screen crash bug just kills me :(
