What happened to the bonuspack?

Hi everyone, I'm new here.  Finally built my new PC and Sins is one of the games I've been keen to catch up on.  So I've bought the game online and downloaded it successfully, but when I go to

https://www.sinsofasolarempire.com/update

the file

Sins of a Solar Empire Bonuspack (v1.05)

doesn't seem to exist ("the file you are looking for is not available").

But I can download the other files on this page -- the MyColours desktop, the artwork (which includes the tech tree and keycard PDFs) and the music.

Is that the lot, or am I missing out something without the bonuspack?  And, if so, how do I find it?

Another thing:  instead of using the link above, I also tried launching the game and hitting "download updates" from the main menu.

All it did was launch Windows Media Center ... which makes no sense to me.  Is this right?

I'm running in Vista 64. Impulse is open and seems to be working.

If you downloaded from Impulse you dont need that bonuspack thingy. Your version from impulse is the newest version, 1.16. Impulse will keep your game up to date. No need to download any patches from anywhere.

Of course, if you don't like installing applications that pass complete and total control over to a third party, you could just download the bonuspack from filefront.

Does anyone know of any accommodations that stardock makes for paranoids like myself?

You can use Impulse anywhere. Download the enitre updated version of the game to your computer.

Im not sure what 3rd party your talking about. I assume Stardock. Which in that case Impulse is great. No need to have it running 24/7 to play any game. You could uninstall it even, and your games play all the same. You only need it for updates. Even then it doesnt require you to update like Steam does.

Maybe Im not understanding your point of view. *shrugs*
