Why Does A Trucker Wear Suspenders?

To keep his pants up of course.

It seems I'm losing weight, although I have no idea why. I haven't stepped on a scale and so have no idea how much weight I've lost, but I know I have because my clothes don't fit any more. I've had to start wearing suspenders to hold up my pants as they are very loose around my waist now. All of my shirts are also getting kind of baggy.

I haven't changed my eating habits, and still enjoy a few beers here and there, and my lifestyle is pretty much the same as always so I haven't a clue as to why I would suddenly be losing weight.

I think when I get a little spare time along with the cash I'll pop in to see a doctor and get a physical just to make sure everything is ok. I feel about as well as I normally do, just the usual aches and pains combined with my IBS. Nothing out of the ordinary at all really. well, ok, maybe I've been feeling kind of tired lately, but I attribute that to such an extended period of time on the road. Even that isn't exactly extreme, just a bit draggy and tired at times.

Well, on the upside I needed to drop a few pounds anyway.

Psst, what've you been doing anyways? Mind giving me a few hints? Heh, I've been working on losing weight for some time now and unfortunately I'm not quite where I want to be. >_>

Good luck with everything.

Beats me, as I said my lifestyle and eating habits haven't changed.

Yeah Mason, do go see a doctor.  It could be just that your metabolism just speed up.  Do it as soon as you get a chance.

I'll be praying that its nothing.

Thanks, I'm sure it's nothing but a check up couldn't hurt.

:) Now you have a tough decision to make, buy new clothes or go drink some more beer :D

Seriously, hope all is ok and it's just a metabolic adjustment :)

Be safe!

Hmmm and the answer to the question in the title is of course:

To get to the other side of the road without tripping over his pants ;)

edit: correct typo

Yeah, perhaps more beer is in order

I'm sure it's nothing. Kind of odd for my metabolism to decide to step up at my age though.

I spoke with a doc via phone today through a call in program on the Sirius trucker's channel and he said if I stop by one of his truck stop clinics he'd authorize them to give me a wellness check up for free. Hopefully I can take him up on that next week as I will likely pass by either the one in GA or the one in TN on my way out.
