Improved Demigod

I have been thinking for a while about so many stuff that could improve Demigod Gameplay drastically, things that would make ( in my opinion ) players play endlessly. I believe all of this ideas are on Stardock side, though i may be wrong.

Ideas:

-Increase the price of favor items, winning a couple of games and being able to buy whatever you want just seems odd to me...too easy. Especially when the anklet and teleportation rune are so cheap to get...they should definetly be the most expensiest....as hardly you would ever choose something different. Would be nice if...even after having a week of playing...you would still have something to look forward to you know what i mean? I think making these items expensier might give more accomplishment feelings than how it is now.

-After you guys fixed the favor, you should had resetted all of it. I dont know if plans on this is on the making...but when i started the game i had 99999999 favor. Dunno why, dunno how but i had...whatever i bought would reset on the next game...but it didnt matter because i could just buy it again infinitely. Now that it is fixed, i have a normal amount...which is all i gained while playing when the favor was bugged. So here i am with 9k favor, and everything i could ever want bought. That part of the game was ruined for me, as i ll never get to look forward to buying anything. Same applies to achievements.

-Some sort of recognition system. I would like to look at some player in Custom game lobby, and be able to say: Hey! that guy has ____ , he is good! be careful. That would be so sweet. Maybe something like buying special titles with favor? with a high cost, it would be something to look forward to get...and would be nice to show people that you got it.

Those are some of the ideas i have been thinking lately would be an awesome integration to the game.

I wanted to write about stuff that i have really not seen around the forums being talked about, and stuff that would be on Stardock side to make.

ALTHOUGH, i ll say that having a chat after the game ends would be sweet....especially with the recognition system ( pantheon and skirmish ) would be nice to see what ( ranks, tittles or w/e ) type of guys you just fought.

for the recognition system, since there are exp points, the devs could use these to create a level system. Very rpg-esque, and if you see a lvl25, you know that this person knows how to play demigod, while lvl1 is a newbie.

the favor points should indeed be reseted (and this way, with the launch in Europe, everyone would start on the same ground) but i don't know if they need to cost a lot more. You can easily double the price, but a 10 factor for exemple would be too high, i would prefer to see titles, skins or other stuff to be bought with a lot of favor points, and let everyone gains the favor items without too much trouble.

yea, they already got this experience thingy working for pantheon...but theres no real use of it...its supposed to help you in this ranking that nobody really sees. would be nice if ppl could see your ranking in-game.

And yea, i was thinking of x2 times the favor price or maybe a little bit more.

A separate set of cosmetic only items things that don't necessarily boost DG abilities but make them look different or distinguish yourself from every other player that plays the same DG that you do would be a welcome addition to the favor purchase items list.  It would be a decent way of recognition for the individual as well as a warning for other players... some of them I would imagine you could put a much higher price tag on to give a sense of accomplishment on purchase almost like an achievement of its own.

If a level system was added, I'd want 2 levels to show. One of the overall player's experience that adds all of their demigod's experience together and uses that. And one that is demigod specific. So once someone picks a demigod we'd know, oh this guy is new with _____ demigod but overall an experienced player.

It would make it easier to tell who you'd need to assist or stay away from during the game.

Also, cosmetic favor items would be pretty awesome. Not sure how you could make some of these demigods look better with random items though.

I like the style DOW2 uses, its basically a rank for each race...so you can see how experienced a player is with each race. And then there is 'True Skill' (Game for Windows Live patented system) which is another number thats based roughly on your win/lose ratio along with some other numbers. So then, you can see roughly for how long he has been playing, and how good he is.

I think some favor item should be more like you said, but once all the items are purchased, there should be a bunch of non-combat type items, things that change the appearence of your Demigods, special titles, stuff like that.
