Rook Archer vs Groffling Warplate

Rook with his Archer shoulder upgrades (which are awesome against buildings, btw.) is in deep shit if you can afford to buy the Groffling Warplate.

The arrows come at a fairly high rate and seem to trigger the activate-on-being-hit shield quite nicely.

A near permanent 300 damage buffer is a quite noticable disadvantage for Rook, which I recently noticed to my dismay.

Does said damage buffer negate damage before or after armor is calculated in?

no idea. i suppose it's the same as with bramble shield from QoT.

however that works ...

That's a good point.  It would probably work well in the vicinity of the normal archer towers too.  Usually 3% chances are worthless though.

Please someone check this. Archer rooks + tower rooks are annoying and if that shield activates then it'll be buy.

I've tried this. Didn't seem to damage the Rook. I think the three attachments are considered separate entities when it comes to attacks.

i did a skirmish with me having all the good stuff.

stood in front of a fortress and they never triggered the shield. or the armor of vengeance effect as far as i could see.

went against another archer rook and i saw my shield trigger once. could've been anything.

Now, i might have imagined it, but the sedna i fought had that "absorbed" text very often over her head ... more than I felt was possible with 1%. And the only QoT was on my side.

However, if you're in the thick of it and you fight against solo rook, you could simple get triggered by archer,tower of light,trebuchet and melee, wich will be at lest 4% per second. add 4 towers from the tower farm and we get 8%.

And once the shield triggers every arrow paints a green "absorbed" over her head... that kinda burns into your eyes. :)
