Looks bad. Looks like a very slow moving game when fps games should be fast paced imo. Limited ammo is a pain. L4D is still champ.
L4D is good but once you've finished all scenario's it gets repetitive really quick. Even verses mode.
have you played survivor mode? Intense!
I don't like L4D. I've played survivor mode, beaten expert, "Beaten" versus, yada yada.
Yeh, I usually play verse mode though these days, which make things quite interestin. Though i suck something fierce at playing as the boomer.
Anyway I picked up Killing Floor yesterday, could not get into a multiplayer game, guess there aren't many proper servers yet, and the ones that there were i couldnt connect to for some random reason, screen would just go black and i'd have to escape back to the lobby. So i played some solo play. Gotta say decappitating zombies with a hand cannon or crossbow-with-a-scope is pretty fun, but im not sure how long the novelty will last, the slowdown function is good, though it just seems to happen randomly, but it lets you get a couple of well lined up shots.
ATM this game seems like a L4D aimed at the UT community or andrenalin junkies
I still play L4D regularly with a group of friends, finishing off the night with a hard fought win in Vs is some of the most fun I've had in gaming.
I gave Killing Floor a go last night, seems it's suffering similar issues to Demigod, connecting to a server is a nightmare. I eventually had to open tons of ports just to try and connect. It came good when a friend came along to play though as his connection is good and we were able to run a dedicated server on 1 of his CPU cores while he connected on his other CPU core and we played some 2 player for a while.
The atmosphere is superb, and when you are getting overwhelmed and attacked from behind it becomes really chilling and intense. We beat an Easy game but so far Normal is too hard for us, which is awesome cause there is still Hard and Suicidal to beat aswell. And I love the British voice overs.
I hope this server/connection issue gets sorted soon, relying on just playing with friends sucks. It doesn't even have the option "Join server when a slot becomes available" which most Steam games have enjoyed since the days of Counter Strike 1.3.
