Only giving this a few more days.

Hire some programmers who have written server code before.  I really want this game to succeed, but I can only take a few more days of the connectivity issues.  I have no idea how this game was allowed to be released in this state, but a multiplayer game that drops games 75% of the time... Come on.

Best of luck, I hope you figure it out in time.

Oh no, an ultimatum!

Then buh bye!  You realize it's the weekend right?

Also, anyone who's actually in software knows that hiring additional people won't magically make the projects go faster.

Or you might lose 90% of the people who buy this game and encounter egregious problems the second they try to play.  Good luck seeing this game go anywhere without a customer base.

Good luck seeing [Insert Game Name Here] succeed with rushed patches and quick fixes that fall apart.

Yeah, cause that happens all the time. O:)

I wonder if there's a reason for that? Hmmm..

It was sarcasm.  Notice the rolley eyes.

I think the whole point is that while you are not as willing to wait this issues out further, there are lots of players who are, especially when Stardock gives the community regular feeds on what's happening with remarkable transparency. With or without you, the community, the game, GPG and Stardock lives on.

Might as well just hang in there and be rewarded with great gameplay when it all comes through. If it gets too frustrating, perhaps go play something else while things stabilise.

You is the biggest type of dumbass fanboy on this side og the galaxy. Some people, me included, have been able to play close to zero multiplayer games in Demigod.. Seeing as this is mainly a multiplayer game this somehwat blows. My guess is that you don't have any of these troubles and that you are so far up stardocks and GPGs ass that even you ankles are that shady brown color. I don't have grudge against stardockor or GPG, but a player not having gotten what he paid for should be able to shout out without seeeing dumbass quotes by the likes of you...

I've managed to play a whole zero matches before todays beta patch, guess what I did? I played something else :) The great thing about leisure activities is they are easily replaced with other leisure activities. As soon as Demigod connection issues are fixed, I can go back to playing Demigod, yay.

no need to beat people down who is frustrated , ive seen games go down easier then this for less apparent bugs, its going to be fixed now , but i know a lot of people had had a hard time with the connection issues (im not one of them and im quite happy for that)

It does feel a bit beta-ish when trying to connect to a multiplayer game. However the game itself is great and it looks like they are working day and night to get it working better.

Yeah I agree, these guys aren't really trying to insult the Demigod makers or its fans. They just feel hard done by. No need to make things worse. I guess the only thing that can be said is be patient, things will be fixed, but if you don't want to wait, that's your decision. I think it's fair enough to create a post to say you're frustrated, if you keep it reasonably civil.

If you're really that frustrated, you can return the game and come back in a month? No questions asked, we'll see you then.

There was a beta patch out this morning / last night which is worth trying if you have been encountering problems.

Please let us know if it has helped your problems or not.

I should also remind everyone that these forums are for everyone and so please be nice to each other.  Just because someone offers a different point of view on something doesn't make them someone to be abused.

Let me see if I understand this correctly?

So if we are really upset about not buying a working game we should keep our mouths shut and check back in a month???

No, he was suggesting getting a refund for the game so your money is back in your account and you longer have access to play the game, and you can re-purchase it at a time when your complaints have been addressed fully.

Stardock offer a terrific refund policy on all of their products, if you are unhappy with one of them you should apply for a refund. It's one of the many reasons I like Stardock. That, and Bee Roulette.
