Oh my. Can you run one of those wires down here. ![]()
Nice, what did you get? Gigaman?
Wow, a Porshe in the house and a Porshe in your network. The fastest and furious staring Brad.
Nice. That should handle a bit of traffic.
Nine deal if you can get it - <G>
Jonnan
Holy shit....
Why is the speed of light so slow in fiberwires you may ask...
All i know is that for MBs (server) to replace Kbs (workstation), distance & infrastructures must be in place.
I phoned in college results (in 1974!) on some tricky 300 bauds, i wished i had TBs transfer rates though.
Nothing like tackling multiple problems headon with solution, once or later.
Oooops, i shall revise my evaluation;
6.15Mbs, 0.68Mbs, 15ms ping!
ISP or Laval, Québec?

YAY! Now you can torrent all the games you want! ![]()
ROTFL! So it's Brad who's pirating Demigod afterall!
H O L Y S H I T!!!
Please sir, may i have some more?
Excellent links - them zero's keep being added .....
A decade ago it probably would have read along the lines of 119.93Kb/s and 32.70Kb/s
In another decade its probably going to read 119.93Pb/s and 32.70Pb/s
I've a feeling we are gonna miss out the Tb/s stage rofl ![]()
Wonderful and terrifying at the same time when you think on it.
Regards
Zy
That's only ten times faster then my own connection :p
I am not impressed.
It's fully 100x my connection.

Is this what it takes?
BRB, upgrading.
nice speeds.
but you'll never be cool.
Now easy on the gas... HOOLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYY SH*******************! Love playing games on that connection... But that would take out the challenge though...
Pffffft, I had that 4 years ago grandpa.
Oh wait. That's yoru network speed? Shit, thought you meant ram...
Cool? Not hardly. Allow me to list some things that you could do that might actually lead you in the general direction of coolness:
1) Explain to us when, exactly, you propose to repair the blatant flaws in ToA.
2) Then, actually proceed to fix said blatant flaws.
3) Repair the metaverse forum, which is also ripe with disfunction.

Regardless of whether or not there is some element of truth behind it, this is most certainly *not* the best way to go about it.
I would hope that this will simply be chalked up as someone venting a little frustration without really considering potential ramifications.
Really, not cool. Bad squirrel.
not cool me thinks
impressive, yes, but not exactly gonna win many people in the bar is it
"hey, look at my fast connection speed!"
yeah, right
on another note, where can i get such a connection??
If you have a better suggestion as to how to go about getting some answers out of Stardock, I am more that receptive. I happen to find it quite insulting that Brad feels that it is more important to address the connection speed of his network than it is to answer the very reasonable, and justified, questions that many GC2 customers have been asking.
In my carefully considered opinion, no progress is going to be made if we sit quietly and say nothing. If we do not loudly, and frequently, express our displeasure with the situation, I believe Stardock will continue to ignore our plight. We are now getting dangerously close to the beta of Elemental, and the very last thing I want to hear in two weeks is:
"We will push out the ToA updates once we get Elemental off our plates".
Therefore, I am intentionally derailing this thread to try and goad some sort of response from Brad. If that causes a ramification to the functionality of my user ID on this forum, so be it.
Sure did! Life got better around here.
You have every right to take whatever action you see fit as long as it's only you that will have to deal with the consequences. Again I personally don't think that being confrontational is the best way to get what you want but if I thought that the only potential negative consequence would be yours to bear then I would never have stuck my nose into it in the first place.
However I can envision consequences that could affect far more than just yourself and if you grant that such a possibility exists then I maintain that you don't have the unilateral right to potentially jeopardize the future use and enjoyment of the metaverse by myself and many others for whom you do not speak.
Let me explain myself. I understand and in fact sympathize with what you’re trying to accomplish and in fact have no wish to come off as lecturing or telling you what to do. But face it, we all know that the metaverse is not Brad’s most favorite topic and for all I or you know all it would take for him to become totally sick of the entire mess and kill it off entirely would be to hear yet more complaining about it. I feel that is a risk that you’re taking on yourself to make and it’s a risk not just to yourself but to everyone that enjoys the metaverse. You don’t have the right to do that.
The complaints about ToA fixes are of less direct impact to myself but still have potential impact to others.
The thing is that as far as I can tell SD is under no obligation to do any of the things that you’re “demanding”. Even so, if history is any guide then I am sure that all of your concerns *will* be addressed, although perhaps just not as soon as you would like. Again as far as I can tell game updates and the metaverse are free services that SD supplies, I certainly don’t recall paying for either. When someone gives you something for free then I think your first priority is to be thankful and although I feel it’s perfectly fine to *request* or *suggest* changes, fixes and updates, I see nothing that justifies making confrontational *demands* for action.
I hope you see my point and at least understand where I’m coming from. ![]()
