Uhmmm, my first thought is to report this thread. Anything that propagates piracy has no place here.

After looking at the link and the emphasis on "everything" my second thought is, your a tool, a spammer and because of assholes like you we must suffer DRM in all it's glory, none of those which do anything to change thought one.

Neilo, you're an idiot. BitTorrent != Piracy. World of Warcraft uses P2P filesharing to distribute patches, just for a start. Then, there's official uses, for example the BBC, a corporation owned by the UK Government, also uses filesharing to distribute programs.

I've downloaded plenty of legitimate torrents in my time. If you brand P2P filesharing as Piracy, then you're just stupid.

DeadMG. Where did i mention anything about P2P? Seeding means torrents and since well over 90% of torrents are for pirated software it's more than reasonable to assume that is the exact intent implied here.

Along with the emphasis on the "everything" in the video, it's pretty clear what the OP and the link are supporting.

If you really think that the OP regged here today to make but one post and that one post is about legitamite filesharing, then it is not i who is the idiot or stupid. P2P filesharing can be used for legit reasons, but again more so for piracy.

For my mind the OP's intent was not to promote legitamte P2P or torrent use.

Justify your pirate habbits to someone else, i'm not interested.

I haven't pirated anything in a long time. Interesting how you assume that I am one though. And, why don't you show a source for 90%? Nobody knows any real figures for how many torrents there are out there, let alone how many is for what.

And, when I gave other examples of P2P filesharing, they're basically just torrents under a different name. Seeding is used here too, even if the owners of the systems boost them along with HTTP servers.

In any case, just blanketing everyone who uses torrents as pirates is just a stupid thing to do. Why do you think they're not criminal to use? Because there's a trillion legal uses for them, as well as a trillion illegal ones.

I'm doing no such thing. I am taking the OP in context along with his timely sign up date and the type of video in the link to draw my conclusions.

If this was advertising the legitimate use of torrents and P2P there would be more than just the paintshoped screen in the link, the OP would have supplied various justifications for why torrents and P2P are not evil and the like.

All those combined lead me to believe that this is a pirate wishing to get his grubby hands on some free stuff. Atrolling spammer, nothing more.

As for my assumption about you, well you were very quick to defend the OP by flaming me. Sounds like someone needing to justify his actions to me. I might be wrong but i'm none to bothered either way. I never attacked torrent/p2p users, i attacked pirates.

As for a source for my 90%. Check out any torrent site and rank the available torrents by popularity and you tell me what the percentage rate is.

I think i was being generous.

Don't be so quick to jump on someone bloke. You didn't even give yourself time to take in what i wrote and why, you just wanted blood.

If you think the OP has legitimate uses in mind for seeding week then that is your prerogative....

I'll stick with my assumptions though, and whether you agree with them or not i really don't care.
