Is there any way to avoid the favor point bug?

I have never gained enough favour points to buy an item despite supposedly gaining 100+ every game. Is there any known way to avoid the bug? Some of those items look pretty neat.

or maybe is there a way to backup some local files, and when the favor points drop to 0 or below, restore them? Is it possible and with what files?

Just disable favor items in custom games, so all people are equals :meow:

I've tried editing every local instance of favor in the files that I can find and that'll work fine for single player and LAN games, but it'll still be acting crazy when I log into impulse and usually overwrites the local copy of game.prefs with a specifc favor value that isn't stored anywhere locally anymore.

 

I've tried to be pretty thorough when searching, I suspect there isn't anything local you can do anymore to fix MP favor and the changes are being sent down through impulse.
