Caster Buff Items

I think some items that cater to casters would be a good addition, such as (any values/names are obviously just pulled out of thin air for examples)

Power Staff - While equipped abilities that have values are raised by 10%

 -- So Fireball would doo 330 instead of 300, Queen's shield would block 10% more damage, Sedna's Heal, etc.

Double Staff - High mana cost to use, on use next spell cast within 10 seconds does double damage

 

I just think, there should be more items that cater to caster type Demigods. You can only have so much mana. As it is now I seem to find myself just buying citadel upgrades instead, and while that isn't bad of course, casters should atleast have decent options comparable to the Demigods that focus on direct damage.

Double Staff would probably have to be a high end artifact.

Power Staff doesn't seem so bad... It shouldn't be cheap, but the idea seems reasonable.

 

I've changed my mind a bit. The double staff would easily be overpwered. Rook's Hammerslam with double damage, QoT/TB + Double Staff and the game would be over.

 

The Power Staff still seems viable to me. It'd have to be an expensive artifact (15K-20K).

I don't like the idea of those that much.  Though the damage increase flags are nice.

 

Before anything like this, there really should be some skills where weapon damage effects their damage.. like hammerslam, snipe.. about half the skills.

 

However, I would like to see an item that reduces cast times by 20%, a flag that increases enemy cast times, as well as an activatable item that'd slow enemy cast times.

Not if snipe was changed so it does your base damage close up, and just more damage the further it travels based on snipe level..

Or if snipe was ground targeted ^^

These would have to be high-up artifacts, because auto-attack is only viable late game. Caster skills are extremely powerful everywhere before. Other then that, caster skills ultimately become useless in the dragged out endgame when player can stack life and only take scratches.

I love the idea of weapon damage scaling up the range bonus. Like, really like the idea.

Yeah especially since ias stacking with regulas(well.. most heroes really. IAS increases DPS much more than +dmg usually) is so predominant.  If you wanted high snipe you'd need to spend on +dmg.

I think it was you in another post that mentioned that +spell dmg items would have balance issues due to +dmg items being countered by armor. What about some generic "spell resistance"?

(It might not of been you, but I think it was :D )
