A question about Entrenchment...

I wish to purchase the micro expansion, but I have one question before I do. If I do get Entrenchment, am I still able to play with folks who haven't got the expansion?

Yes, you have the choice of playing either version, at anytime. It's has a new menu option which allows you to pick which you want to play at that moment.
