registrations

changing computers and wanting to ensure that my registrations are still current I came up against an page loading error. not being able to determine if this is a site issue or a greg issue,  I thought it best to check in and ask, "is there something I need to do to ensure that my WC programs and program registrations are current in my new computer?" vista64bit

charging for windowblinds now I see. I guess that SKS6 isn't really free either since windowblinds is required for it. at least that was the messaage that I received.

Open Impulse and click on the question mark in the top right corner.

Click on lookup serial, make sure your correct email address is filled in and click submit.

It should take a few seconds to look you up and then send you an email with all of your serials, expiration dates and new download links.

Impulse?, what's impulse? sounds like something I get when my wife walks around in her leggings.

well, there another problem associated with this, flash 9. having some problems determining which flash 9 files (from the archive zip) need to be double clicked. https://forums.wincustomize.com/348377 haven't received any diffinitive help so far.

so I guess I could install impulse but without flash 9 it would be like having a car without an engine, cute but useless.

and then again, with the registration page NFG I really am unsure if I have a problem with my registation numbers but I'm sure I will when I attempt to reinstall my stardock programs without flash 9.

I had no luck with using Adobe Archives. They didn't work for me,it kept wanting to install the latest version.(10). Try HERE for Flash9 instead.

As far as I know,Flash9 is or was needed for uploads to WC ,but not to use Impulse to install any software. Someone correct me if this is incorrect.

thanks Wiz, I downloaded the file and attempted to install but the installer told me that it couldn't find my plug-in directory? looked at the directoriess for ie and windows and didn't see anything entitled "plugins", or anything similiar. I guess the simple answer would be create the directory, should work right?

as a skinner I need this for uploading, not sure but I don't think one can have two versions of flash, it's either or.

IE7, vista 64bit

IE7 stubbornly refused to install 9 for me from any source,so I stuck with 10. I'm sorry I didn't mention that but I figured it was just me.;P

Yes and no,I have 9 on FF3 and 10 on IE7. When(or if) I need to upload to WC I will just use FF3 until WC is fully Flash10 compatible

You can get Flash 9 from this page.

A direct link to the download... Flash 9.

He already has the files from that source,as did I. The trouble is,it would not install Flash 9,any version #. It always wanted to install the latest version(10) for IE7. I had no problem rolling FF3 back to 9 however.

Guess I should have read a little closer. Have you tried installing while off line, so it can't check for a newer version?

it's not that it's that it has no where to install it where IE7 can find it.

Wiz, correct me if I misunderstand. If I install FF and set it as my primary browser, when I install flash 9 it will use that when I'm using FF but not IE7. resetting IE7 to primary I then download flash10. will that impact the status of flash9.

there must be some order to ensure everything doesn't get messed up. the only one of these four programs installed at present is IE7. (virgin territory)

just trying to make it easier, appreciate your help.

Since I had problems uploading last month I said the heck with it and installed flash 10 in IE7.

Then I installed FF without flash and use it to upload. You do not need Flash installed to upload.

will that impact the status of flash9.

It didn't for me. I show 9 installed on FF3 and 10 installed on IE7 They can both exist at the same time on different browsers.

I unistalled flash 10,loaded FF and installed 9,then when I opened IE7 it wanted to install 10 so after failing at installing 9 on it,I let it install flash10

Go ahead and install Flash 10 in IE7. Install Impulse, since it uses IE7 you can get your reg info.

Install FireFox last and do not make it your default browser. Do not install Flash in FireFox and you can use FireFox to upload to WinCustomize.

I'm not sure why Flash 10 effects uploading at WinCustomize (but it does) because you do not need to have it installed to upload to either of the upload links.

Good advice,CarGuy. If all you use it for is uploading, you don't need flash installed. The most you'll miss is some advertising anyway.;)

Okay, I'll download FF as my secondary browser, should work out just fine then when the time comes to upload something.
