unclean beast history does not fit with permise?

The premise is simple enough, one of six gods has been found to have violated some rules, he is stripped of his power and the rest are looking for a replacement, specifically, one of his children with mortal consorts who retain enough divinity...

There are a total of 8 contestants, one of which is the unclean beast, and that one makes no sense at all.

Most are simple enough to understand, the proginator knocked up a female of one race or another and a demigod was born. You got fairy, angel, vampire (specifically mentioning him being born to a vampire mother and that they have nursing customs so its not unusual)... the oak is an empty suit that USED to contain a knight, but the body decayed over countless years of getting mortal wounds until just the suit contained him, the rook was a castle built by a demigod, he fell in battle to defend it and demanded to be put in the highest chamber where he merged with the castle, and he can unmerge to become just the untouched body in that bedroom.

But the unclean beast happened when a "tome of darkness" had gotten one of al saleem's wives pregnant with a monster that literally chewed its way out of her. it said her life would be forfeit from the task, and the unclean beast is supposed to still serve the tome, it served al seyeed until he stopped obeying the indestructible book, and at that point the unclean beast ate him. So... any explanation?

I would think that the tome is some long forgotten icon of the all father, basically containing memories and pwoers of him (or maybe just some dark portion of him or something). In this case, the all father made The mother pregnant in the way that christianitys god made mary pregnant. He didnt actually ahve sex with her, he used his godly powers to do it. Its different yes but who cares teh story isnt so important anyways.

it was the fathers first published book, "How to make a demigod for dummies"

i was thinking more that the progenitor knocked up the wife and the kid got infected by the dark magic of the book.  but resist_the_dawn's way makes sense too

Thats also plausible Ellimist. Either way it works though so its really not that confusing.

Quoting Demigod,
The Gathering found that one of their own, the so-called God of the Progenitor, had intervened by sharing Names and Ways with his underlings and allies on the other side of the Veil.

Quoting Unclean,
The book told him Names of Power, Names which could invoke and banish servants from beyond the Veil. Names that unmade living things and other Names that summoned the Oldest and Deepest.

Tesser nailed it. The Unclean Beast isn't a direct 'child' of the Progenator the way the some of the others are, but it was created from him nonetheless.

As UB's spokesperson, I have been authorized to release his official response to these allegations about his parentage.  And here it is: "GRAAAAAAAAAAAWR".

the victory of the beast says that he "earned his freedom". So this is probably the case, although its not actually specified as such.

although Teseer theory works too...

oh, there is also the torch bearer... his "father" is not his father but the kings wife... which fits in well with the "father" trying to kill the son that has weird powers and doesn't look like him.
