looking for a pretty recently updated mod that had new pictures for all the races

from Sins Forums

i swear to god it was sins plus and then i loaded that one up on my computer and that was a no go

this mod had the most balling pictures ever. the advent women were especially cool. does anybody know what im talking about?

I knew exactly what you meant when I read your post, but it took me almost 15 minutes of searching to find the blasted thing (couldn't figure out the right key words).  Anyways, I'm pretty sure this is what you're talking about

I love using those pictures, too.  Especially now that this kind of mod doesn't affect the checksum in Entrenchment.  Anyways, I hope that's what you're looking for.

so to get these to work i shall install them as regular mod with textures folder and then rename the .tga extension to .dda? sounds good

this is one of the coolest mod ideas available. so sincur. every F mod should have these pictures. i like the originals a lot but these are real sweet too

i dont know i dont think so. perhaps though. i just downloaded it and havent gotten around to playing it yet but then again...i have an AWFUL memory

I think you can just leave them as .tga files. 

However, I had some trouble making entrenchment like them.  I resolved my issue by changing the file names to Player_Portrait_Window2.tga, etc., and changing their textureName (in four locations) in each of these files in the Window folder:

NPC.playerPictures, PlayerPhase.playerPictures, PlayerPsi.playerPictures, PlayerTech.playerPictures

I agree. I almost always use it.  Actually, I modified the .tga files to have both old and new pictures at one point, but I still prefer these.

karma up. wait walk me through what you did to make them entrench friendly again. that was a little quick for me

 

edit: no ok. F got it finally after reading what you said and poking around a bit. so how do i make it so that i can get all of the different pictures both new AND old? i guess i change the picture count but then....what do i do to make it so that it reads both old AND new .tga files and includes them in the game?
