It's Better Than Nothing

I finally got a call from dispatch this afternoon. "I finally found you a load, but you're not going to like it."

Uh oh. "Yeah, ok, go ahead".

She told me I had to go to Ft Bragg, NC and pick up a military load. Ok so far. It's going to New Jersey. Ah, there's the hook. Short run and probably not paying all that much for having sat for almost four days.

Oh well, better than nothing.

I moved the truck from the truck stop in Manning, SC to a different truck stop in Latta, SC which puts me just about an hour or so from Ft Bragg. Can't pick up until tomorrow morning.

Back to waiting around, but at least now I have a schedule, of sorts.

Hopefully they'll find something good for me coming out of the NJ area. We have a regular customer not too far away in PA so hopefully they'll need something moved by the time I finish this one.

I am sure it is good to be on the move again.  Safe trucking.

Thanks. You seem to be my only nreader these days. Guess I must be getting boring.

No way you get boring :) My firefox wants to send me to masonm.joeuser.com when I start typing joe. Haven't got much to add usually, but I enjoy reading - a lot. I can understand that when people don't comment it may look like there's nobody reading, but I can assure you I'm here just about every day :)

What's more, I'm sure I'm not the only one either :)

I'll leave you some more comments :) (Although there is a reason I usually leave the writing to people like you who can ;))

I have been reading/lurking since I joined JU.  Will start to leave comments, even if it's just a hello, so that you know someone is out here on a regular basis!

Safe travels.

Always read you, rarely comment. Actually, I think that I comment on you more than I do any other blogger. Hope that makes you feel special!

Ok.  Mason.  Where are you?  Has anyone had any contact with the trucker guy?  Thanks.

Thanks folks, good to know people are still reading my nonsense :)

Am in Wyoming at the moment, been offline for several days due to a lack of free wifi access. Currently sitting and watching it snow. Just delivered my load this morning and waiting for something to get me out of here.

Where abouts in Wyoming? I've got family in Cody and just a few miles north of Cheyenne.
