Looking for friendly and helpful clan

Hey there. I bought Sins as a christmas present from and to myself last hollidays, since then I've been having fun and getting to know the game by myself. I love it, though I'm far from even completing 10% of all the included maps, therefore I'm not planning on getting Entrenchment just yet (if that matters with the recruitment bit).

Who I am:

29 years old woman (yes we exist), I speak both French and English (French being actually my native language), living in Quebec, so EST. I play Sins for fun and to get a little challenge, but I'm not looking for competitions. Sins is also not the only game I enjoy playing, and playing is not my only hobby.

What I'm looking for:

A group of friendly and helpful players whith whom I can have fun playing online with and who can help me improve my gameplay on a casual basis. Being 29, I'd also like it if the maturity level of the group was higher than average teenagers, this is not ment as an offence, it's just what I'm most comfortable with.

Edit: I'll be happy to answer any questions clans might have about me that could help determine if I am fit for their clan or not.

The best way to join a clan is to play the game in online multiplayer and to casually get to know people who are in clans and befriend them.  Play with them often and become a "regular" in games with clan members.  Let them get to know you.  You might even make it known that you'd like to join a clan.  If you and the clan are a good fit, eventually you're becoming a member of it will seem like a foregone conclusion to everyone.

That having been said, it should be noted that clans don't really serve much of a purpose in Sins of a Solar Empire and that it's difficult to actually call them "clans" as opposed to "community groups" since none of them are doing what clans should actually be doing--which is playing competitive games against other clans in leagues and on competitive ladders.  Sadly, Sins doesn't have a large enough online multiplayer community to support a real clan scene, which might look something like this:
