Love and like aren't usually considered the same thing. If you love someone then usually you will still love them if they do something to hurt you, it would take something really really big to make you not love someone anymore. If you like someone then it is much easier for them to do something to hurt you enough so that you don't like them anymore.
For example, a parent's love is unconditional for most. Their child can get mad at them, not speak to them, etc, and they still will love them. Another example, you can have a good friend from when you were young who you liked an awful lot. If they say or do something that truely offends you chances are that you wouldn't want to deal with them again.
Sorry, it's something that's hard to explain, but in my opinion a "like" relationship can be hurt a lot quicker than a "love" relationship. There's just something that is different.
