Impulse won't recognize my Sins of a Solar Empire serial number

I also have the same problem I've tried over and over only to get the same result, an error message comes up that says "registration or email invalid (ref 204)."  I would really like to be able to play sins of a solar empire online but i wont be able to until I download the update which is impossible through Impulse.

Getting the same problem (i think). Trying to install update 1.15 -> 1.16 but get the error:

Product Registration Failed: The email address or serial number you have entered is invalid

Ive installed updates without any issues previously. The serial it shows as registered is correct and I havnt changed my Email address. Ive just purchased and installed entrenchment, dont know if thats releated.

I also get that one, I registered it with the main website when I got it, but it wont take it on stardock.  And now that I deleted my game to update it for entrenchment im left hanging.

What is likely happening is the serial number is registered under another account you have created. Send an email into [email protected] with any email addresses you may have used and the serial number and we will look into it. Typically, accounts just need to be merged.

Brendan Tynan, Zamzee, and artmiser you all have 2 accounts, and need to have them merged into one. Please e-mail us at [email protected] and let us know which e-mail address you wish to use. After the accounts are merged, Impulse will work for you.

Relentless_UK, can ony find one account, no software listed, send us an e-mail and supply your serial number.

I'm having the same issue with Entrenchment, I've been trying to do something about it all day. Now, after a system restore, I have to re-update the original game (which jumped from 5.3 megs this morning to 800-some-odd tonight) and figure out how to register Entrenchment. Any ideas?

I have this problem too. I sent the support email with my serial number attatched. Should I do anything else?

im getting the same problem. and the same 204 error. i just bought a retail copy of sins of a solar empire the other day, and just today bought the expansion, wich i had been looking forward to. i cant register sins, and when i try to run the expansion it crashes and leaves some sort of "mini-dump" and help would be greatly apprecciated because right now i cant run anything. (well half true, i can run the old, un-updated version of sins).

I read these posts and I am having something similar happen to me.  I bought Entrenchment, and I registered it, it says it is registered, but when I go to install it, it says it doesn't have a registration for this game.  I sent an email to support with the email I would like to use, and also my serial number.  Could you guys help me out anymore?

Well, it seems this is a pretty common problem.  I'm having the same issue and I know I only have one account and the correct serial number is showing when I verify it.  I'm at a loss.

I also emailed the support@stardock location with the stated needed info above.

hmmmm  was just cosidering purchasing a game via impulse seems it pays to check the forums first.

I just bought Sin Trinity from walmart and when i went to register it Impulse told me the key was invalid. I tried everything i could think of to fix it and nothing has worked. How could this be even possible straight out of the box. The game is pretty much half useless and I havent even had it a full day yet. I can't even update and patch the game either. I am very irritated about this.

Yeah I just got the error too, but strangely normal Sins updated but Entrenchment is giving me the error.
