I’m speaking at GDC, feel free to drop by

I’m doing a session on what’s involved in making independent PC games that are both fun to make and profitable to produce.

Here' are the details for those of you who plan to attend the Game Developer’s Conference:

Stardock On The PC Hardcore Scene As Indie
Speaker: Brad Wardell (President/CEO, Stardock)
Date/Time: Monday (March 23, 2009)   4:15pm — 5:00pm
Location (room): Room 131, North Hall
Track: Independent Games Summit
Format: 45-minute Lecture
Experience Level: All

Session Description
Stardock's Brad Wardell is the founder of an independent game developer and publisher with such titles as GALACTIC CIVILIZATIONS II, SINS OF A SOLAR EMPIRE, DEMIGOD, and ELEMENTAL. Through its choice of game projects combined with its digital distribution platform, Impulse, Stardock has been able to tap into the core PC game player, a group that has been often ignored in recent years, with the ability to create games they want and deliver those games to them. Wardell will discuss the strategy Stardock uses to design such games as well as how they deliver these games to the target audience through both retail and digital channels.

If you know someone who is going who might be interested, tweet this. :)  Hope to see you there.

Brad - is it possible for the Conference to produce a transcript or mp3 of it?  Even my enthusiasm for Stardock/GC2 et al doesnt stretch to a 16,000 mile return trip - you guys are good .........

........ but not that good

$75 for one day?!  Too rich for my blood.  I do live in the City, though.  Feel free to drop me a line if you want a cup of coffee or something...

I am going to be at GDC, but sadly not on monday.   I have been visiting family in the san francisco area until today (tuesday). because my pass doesn't even start until wednesday.  Hopefully I will somehow still see you Frogboy.

It is a shame you could not go mittens.   Maybe somebody will bring you back some shwag, and you can attend next year.

Its ironic, last year I had the monday-tuesday pass, but there were not speakers that I was really excited to see on those days.  All the speakers I wanted to see were for the more expensive main pass.  This year I have that pass, but it seems like most of the speakers I want to hear are on the monday-tuesday time talking about casual games.
