In a poll on DemocraticUnderground.org, over 70% of its users responded that 11/3 was a worse day for them than 9/11.

Kind of puts things in perspective..well not really.

Truly sad, and thoroughly pathetic. God help us.

A statistic like that disheartens me to no end.

Seriously... my god.... I am ASHAMED.... utterly and totally ashamed to even have even the most peripheral connection to any of those people. I'm aghast....

See, when I complain about "the left" many people who are slightly left of center here think I'm talking about them. I'm not. Most people here are what you'd call casual bloggers. Normal folks who are all over the political spectrum but not extreme.

DemocraticUnderground.org isn't some fringe site. It gets more traffic than all of our sites combined and then some. It's huge. That, my friends, are what a large chunk of Kerry supporters are like. And if you traverse the site you get a inkling of what some of my email is like.

I'm proud to see that some people at that site actually see how terrible the comparison is.
What's funny is that somebody told me: "11/3 would cause more deaths than 9/11." So when you think about it... 9/11 isn't the day that's the tragedy. It's the day that lead up to 9/11 that's the tragedy, which means either the day Bush won, Clinton won, Carter won, Osama bin Laden was born, etc.

OK Drag, I'm going to have to go with your "lunatic land" thing here -- Kerry losing worse than September 11? Talk about insensitive and ludicrous. I might be on the fringe, but DAMN IT -- HAVE SOME BLOODY COMMON SENSE, LIBERALS!

After reading this, I feel disgusted and ashamed for being over here on the left. We have a lot of work to do.

What a bunch of smacktards! Since the number of votes is still low I can hope that the "average Dem" would not vote that way. That said, it is obvious that the people who have died in terrorist acts over the past decades were just numbers to them.
