It's pretty simple. All you have to do is log on to Facebook and go into your account page. Now, at the very top of the screen you should see settings next to your Facebook name.
Click on settings.
You will then be taken into a menu. At the very GUI box that's presented to you is Deactivate Account. Just click on that and follow the instructions handed out to you from then on.
