How make a mod work .

I've downloaded a couple of mods . that by the descriptions , are awesome .

The thing is im kind of lost . I fail to find a way to make them work .

What am I to do . The readme on most say something about a folder named Mod ,

Or single player saves . But i fail to find any of that  . If possible , could you describe

the steps i should follow in order to play the mods . Ex : were to put documents , and such .
                                                       Thnx 4 your help .

Ok, if your running Vista the directory is as following: C:\Users\"user"\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods

Where you put "user" add whatever your user name.

 

If you try and find it via by exploring your computer you wont find the AppData folder due it be hidden by default. You can either enable hidden folder to be show up or just type it in.( I just type it it.)

Once you find the Mod Folder just unzip the Mod into that folder.

Next step would be start up SINS and go to options tab. In that tab there is an another tab call Mods. Click on that and if you unzip your Mods right they will show up there. Just click on the one you wanna enable and click on the enable button. SINS will load it up and you should be good to go. Note: You can only have 1 mod enable at a time.

Yup im running vista 32 . Also i can c App Data folder . but inside there only DXSCRIPT's andPNG images . but no folder in App is called Mod's . Also tried hidden , nothing new .

Any other option would b greatly apriciated .

I suggest typing the address in rather than go looking for them it is much more faster

I suggest we add a sticky to forum (if possible) about two mod paths cus were getting like 10 of these every weak..and though it make sme happy to see so many new players...repetitive answers are a drag for something thye can find SO EASILY..

 

Start game...option...mod.....SHOW MOD PATH!!!!!! Take pen and paper..write it down in search VOILA!
