Would like to play online

What's the solution?

I would like to play online much more.  The problem is, its a total crapshoot trying to find random people and random games online, and its just a complete waste of time.  So I'm stuck playing against the AI, but I find that boring.

I never wanted to be in a clan before.  Mostly I figured it was assholes, etc.  But lately, I'm starting to think that the only way for me to play with a reliable group of people is to be in a clan.  Is this true?

My number 1 criteria is reliability/regularity.  People who play regularly, and will meet online for games when they say they will.

My number 2 criteria is non-assholes.

If anyone knows of a clan matching those two criteria, and that clan is interested in new members, please post here on this thread.  I don't know much about clans, but I was thinking this RG clan might suffice.  But I don't know how active they are.  I went to their website but didn't find any info on their activity, how to join, etc.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm glad to see that  your interested in joining RG

I am the leader and founder of RG.

 

Yes, online play can be a HUGE problem and has killed several sins clan, of which RG is curretnly suffering.

Which is why I am trying to get RG, and other clans and people, involved in the DOME mod.

 

The DOME mod is an awsome fun mod that decreases play time to around thirty minutes, making it very easy to get a game.

Only down side of the DOME, is that it is a mod, you can't just jump on sins and expect to find a game,

SO! we have created the DOME site, with ALL the info about the DOME, making it VERY easy to schedule games. I can get more gaems with the DOME in one day then I did previously with sins in two weeks.

As too RG.

RG used to recruit based soley on skill and activity, but now we also require the recruit to prove that they are of use to RG. (aka- showing they have a usefull skill (modding, art stuff, ect..), geting anouther person to join RG, and of course, proving that they are skilled.

 

Currently, yes, RG is going to an innactive period, this happens from time to time. Unfortunatly it is happening more and more often. Which is why I am despritly trying to get the DOME up, to encourage competitive play.

Though RG isn't a competitve clan, I make no mistake in beliveing that compitition is what holds it together.

RG is an awsome clan, we have survived for three years, I'm not going to let this be our last year.

Not as much interested in the DOME - it's a great idea but I'm not into mods.  However, if you actually have players in your RG clan, and they actually play and are reliable about showing up and what not, I'd be interested in that.  If you are in an inactive period right now, I'll hold back on checking you out since the point is to actually play the game.  But you can always PM me if the clan becomes more active.

Yes, the people in our clan are VERY relieble. If they say they are going to show, they will show. (unless some emergency came up, which I trust them on)

 

The Dome was desinged for people who aren't into mods.

We don't think of it really as a mod, as more of a better way to play sins.

It takes seconds to download, a few more seconds to install, and it is easy sailing from thier.

Trust me, give THE DOME a fair test, and you wont regret it.

(Against AI isn't a fair test, as they don't know how to play it)
