Looking for a game speed mod

I've been searching everywhere I can think of for one that would, for all intents and purposes, give me a "faster" speed option for the game (Build time, Research, Culture, Move speed, etc)

Searched in the forums came up nil, google gave me one result that looked rather promising but it turns out Shawabawa has not updated his/her mod for a long time, so it does not work anymore.

 

PS I love the game, I don't really mind the game taking a long time, but I play with a few friends whose attention spans are a little less than mine is, and for their sakes I'd like to find a way to alter the times for these things; If there is no such mod I guess i'll have to try and get my feet wet with learning to make one but I just wanted to ask here first and see if any of you knew of a solution.

I'm in the middle of building one now, but have had some issues... initially i was going to use a "timer" to keep games at 30 minutes, but was crashing with my attempts to create a "timer" Anyway, give me a bit, maybe a week or so, its not that long if done all at once, maybe like 4 or 5 hours work going through all the files, abilities, buffs, caps, frigs, planetmodules, researches. I think that is it.  But with a week or so i can do it like an hour a day, and recheck, and playtest it a bit to see if it does what i want, which is the original balance of each race, just quicker game time.

Like you i have some reasons, for me, its that i cant be on the pc a long time, i average about an hour for games, and an hour for email, letters, etc, so its nice to finish a game instead of taking like a week to do one game, haha. Anyway, working on it now, will let you know when its done and you can let me know if it does what you want, or if there is something different you are looking for.

You should try THE DOME!

 

it is an awsome mod that does precisly what you want.

 

It doesn't change the speed constants, but it puts in a few features that keeps the games right around thrity minutes!!

:)  Thank you Evil!!  Nice thought, You and Justin are doing this one right?  :)  I think i have the final, but haven't been able to play it on Entrenchment. But am trying to figure out how to run both versions, so far it isn't working, no matter what i rename them, or where i put them, i wonder if its a vista thing?  Anyway will do, and for DaxxTrias too, since its already done!  :)  Hope you like it, let me know, kk?
