RightClick just won't work for me!

I've read everything available on these forums as to why RightClick doesn't work in Vista for some and have yet to find a solution. RightClick hasn't worked on my Vista computer for many months now. I installed it right after buying this computer new 11/07, it worked well for several months and then quit. The only way I can access it now is through the windows key. It won't autostart so I have it in quick start. This really defeats the purpose of the program in my opinion.

I won't list all the steps I've gone through to get it to work but will say that every fix offered on this forum I've tried. I've installed and uninstalled countless times, I run it as administrator etc. I update and backurp religiously, my box is as free of mal anything as you'll find. I have WindowsFx installed but don't use it, could that be a problem? I love RightClick, it's one of my favorite Stardock programs but at this point I am very frustrated.

have you emailed [email protected]  and started a ticket?

WindowsFx from what I understand does not work on Vista.   I don't think it would interfere with Right Click.

Since RightClick did work at one time, can you remember what changes you may had made that might be the problem?

You can add it to your start up folder so it would start with bootup.

I'm just another used of the software and I agree, RightClick is a nice program.  I use RightClick, ObjectDock Plus and ObjectBar on my XP system.  Some duplication but I don't mind.

SOLVED??? Same here on two different Vista Ultimate PCs. I found that the RCBars\Imports\Icons folder only had the (hidden in config) Object Dock icon in it, so I copied the icons from a backup (yes, Stardock - your apps have to be backed up ALL the time). RC then works enough to edit. Whether the new config will stick is another thing. This is really shoddy programming, guys, and the worst thing is this issue has been going for YEARS. LET'S HAVE A SETTINGS SAVE FUNCTION and yes I am shouting.

Followup: RC starts with Vista OK, but only remembers half the configuration. Stardock - your pain in the a__.

What is happening with arguably on of the most day to day useful applications Stardock ever released?

It's advertized as a part of the Impulse subscription suit of applications and yet its support and development is sub par at best.

I have been a customer of Stardock for years and this to me at least is the most useful of all the apps and I can only repeat that it is advertized and charged for as a part of the Impulse subscription.

If it's being worked on or made to actually function without unaceptable fault in x86 and x64 based systems (the latter of which ie x64 based systems) is under common assertion and knowledge, becoming common place, then can we be made aware of it and given a accurate time of such?

Of course if it's not being worked on then can we arrange a compensation of some kind to offset the advertized and paid for application?
