Inserting images

Ok, this may seem like a very stupid question, but how do you insert images in posts? I've uploaded pics to imageshack, copied the code for an image. Then on this site, i click the "insert/edit image" icon and a box appears asking for the image URL, etc. I pasted the code that I copied from imageshack and entered a description and dimensions, but I dont know what to enter in the Alignment setting, the border, vertical space, and horizontal space boxes. And when I click "Insert", a blank box with an "x" is inserted, but no image. So, please help!

Copy the image's direct url into the top box in the insert image box....that should do it. Then clic the size box and alter the size of the imported image as desired. Works for me from photobucket.

Get an account at imageshack or photobucket, then upload it to Photobucket or imageshack...then go from there.
