So what you are saying is that now that Obama is President that Black people are no longer upset and will now accept a song that was writing about a time when Black people were slaves and does not (in their mind) necessarily talk about their land of the free and home of the brave?
This is a legit question. Either we are all Americans or we each carry passports when traveling from State to State stating what country of origin you are from. I don't care about skin color, country of origin, financial situation, historical background, etc. We all equal according to our Constitution, Obama as President is more than enough proof of that. I think it's time we do some real change and not the kind Obama speaks of. I mean the kind where we, as people, wake up and smell the coffee and realize that while we concern ourselves with our petty differences in this country, there are people out there color blind, culture blind, country or origin blind etc who will kill us all the same simply because we are either Americans or just happen to be there when the bomb goes off, when the plane is crashed, etc.
