Vasari Mystery Ability?

I've started playing Vasari recently and I have noticed that when I'm in a battle, at some point in the game I see that enemy ships have multiple green beams between them.  It looks pretty cool but I'm not sure what it's doing.

Does anyone know what these greem beem do?

got kanraks?  if so, then i assume that you've researched discharging missiles.  it's the AOE effect of that ability

yeah it's discharging missiles from Kanrak Assailants...took me a few seconds to realize what it was when my ships started doing that...very good ability...can dismember large fleets of clustered small ships easily

Actually, those aren't from Kanraks there from Scavoras Enforcers. The Beams slow the speed of enemy ships allowing them to stay within range of the Enforcers.

No, they're definitely pulse beams as a result of Charged Missiles. The same effect happens with the Junsurak Sentinel and enemy strike craft (which helps clear large numbers of enemy strike craft).

The Enforcer's Inertial Field doesn't give off a visible effect, it just inflicts a max speed/acceleration penalty.

Thanks for the replies everybody.  I reviewed the replay in detail and I see that the green beam did start before I had enforcers.  While the green beams appeared on the enemy ships and structures i saw that my Kanrak ships were using the "ranged missle" ability.  So Kanrak Assailants are the cause of the green beams.

 Thanks again!
