Impulse necessary if I have Stardock Central?

Hey all,

 

Just got Sins for Christmas.  I have Gal Civ II and was wondering.. since I have Stardock Central do I need Impulse?  I really don't want 2 utilities on my system if I'm not going to use it.

Impulse is the new SDC-essentially.  I believe Sins went up to 1.1 on SDC, but I'm not positive.  In any case, newer updates for applications are Impulse-only.

Sins is only updated through 1.05 through Stardock Central.

However, get Impulse and use it to replace SDC.  You can get all the updates for GalCiv II from Impulse as well.

Thx guys.  Appreciated.  Any essential downloads you can think of I need for my 1st game after I get through the tutorials that is?  FYI old homeworld and Gal Civ II player.
