My xp Toolbar Icons Won't Skin!

Okay, so I'm really stumped.

No matter what I try, I can't seem to be able to skin my xp Windows Explorer toolbar icons.

First, I made a Vista skin and tried to do an xp substyle in SKS6. That didn't work.

Then I started over in SKS6 on an xp machine, with an xp Luna template. That didn't work either.

Then I started over again in SKS5 on an xp machine with an xp Luna template. No go.

I've tried unloading WindowBlinds, rebooting, using different file formats (like .bmp instead of .png) etc. Nothing works!

Can somebody please help me? I only ever really use Vista, but I don't want to skin for just Vista! :(

IE7 on Xp doesn't skin the toolbar icons. They only change on Vista. The toolbar icons work in ie6 though.

Explain the steps you take when making a substyle so I can tell you what you are doing wrong.

Might wanna try changing your toolbar icon size from large to small and back again in the toolbar customize dialog. Also make sure you have both large and small sizes skinned for all three sections..and make sure you have named them.. in the line above.. in SKS 5

The wicked Vista is dead ..Long live XP! \o/

Thanks for the responses, guys! With a couple of Masters trying to help, if I can't get it licked then there's no hope! 8C

Unfortunately, it was really bad timing on my part to begin this thread. I won't be able to do anything with it until sometime late on Friday. Merry Christmas!

for all three sections

Sometimes I can't believe I'm so stupid. I've been fighting this off and on for a month, and the answer this whole time has been to skin "all three sections." But hey, that's how you learn, right? :P

For some reason, I thought that I didn't need to skin the IE6 buttons, but that was the answer. Even though SKS says they are for IE6, Explorer also uses them. My biggest problem has been that some buttons skinned, and some did not. Solved!
