You can, if you have a cd. You'll have to install from CD, patch to 1.05 from one of the third party sites (Impulse always patches to the latest version).

Then copy the entire installation folder to another location, and update to 1.12. You can then run the 1.05 build from the copied folder, and the current latest version will be correctly tied to Impulse.

its not so cut and dry, espically with vista and multiple mods (the permissions and exe targets get messed up easily)
