Yes. It sounds like something bigger than a snafu would have to occur, a natural disaster that causes the eastern seaboard to disappear or a snow storm that shuts that down their servers. You might wanna check a thread devoted to this, ie my thread on "Demigod BETA 2 Update Thread with comments from Mike Marr, lead designer". It has all the most recent info. It is also 6th on most recent posts. Try to look next time before making redundant threads.
Also in a 2 day article draginol said that it was coming out thurs.

Hi guys, i recently pre ordered a copy of the game and i am wondering if i get to play the beta version of the game?
Any prior preorders will definately be in.

The beta will probably be released today by 2:00pm EST, which is 7:00pm GMT.
When the beta is released they will start charging pre-orders which will take a few hours (depending on when you pre-ordered and the method of payment you used).
Once your pre-order is charged they will send you a code.
I don't know exactly how long it will take them to charge your pre-order, but if I were you, I'd expect to get a code sometime late evening GMT ... and possibly as late as 11:00 or Midnight.
That makes around 8PM for me. Can't wait for the release! 
Hope the download won't be too big so I could test it before night time.

I already pre-ordered before Beta 1, and have been playing Beta 1, so i assume the above post isn't relevant? (Apart from the time of release - thanks for that :)).
We expect it out today but it won't be until later in the day.
We're wrestling with the network code right now. Worked late into the night on it and we're on it right now too.
Will Beta 2 allow those who pre-ordered after the date of Beta 1 to play (such as in October etc.)?
If so, I'm looking forward to a long night of gaming
