Fix for search engine bug?

Hi, just bought the SR2 complete package. I played SR2 a while back, and one of my favourite features was the search engine. I've been reading through the forum, and realise that there's a bug with the search engine filters that Netriak has fixed but apparently hasn't been updated on Impulse? Why is that so? Shouldn't all bugfixes and updates be released through Impulse so that everybody can access them?

I'm using Netriak's .exe and still have horrendously inconsistant hull search results.  It limits the results too greatly for reasons that don't even match my criteria.  For instance, if I ask for 3 weapon slots and nothing else, I still might get less than 30 results, even though the vast majority of hulls in the universe have 3 or more weapon slots.  Sometimes it includes hulls that don't meet my minimum criteria, like if I search for Peleng hulls I'll still have Faeyan hulls in the results.  All and all it's pretty useless, I'll have to stick to the old style search I guess.

That's odd. The hull search works perfectly for me, as far as I can tell.

The problem seems to have gone away, although I haven't really been scrutinizing the results now that I'm all-powerful and can solo dominated sectors with the overpowered and underpriced magic ships.  Perhaps the new .exe requires a save, then close, then reopen to take effect.
