Mario Kart Wii Playing with friends

For the first time yestarday one of my friends wanted to race me on wii kart.  So I entered her on my kart friends list and after fighting the game for a while finally started to race. I was a bit dissapointed to see we were only 2  in the race. We raced a few times but it lost it appeal fast being just the two of us.

 

Is there a way for my friend and I to be able to race together with other racers other then finding more friends? I mean on the world circuit you can't choose your friends. There as to be a way....

Mario Kart's Online isn't exactly as solid as it should be. And frankly, I'm tried of it because they always slam me against uber experts who utterly destroy me so I've just stopped playing as it's lost it's appeal for 'easy going enjoyment'.

I liked how the point gain/loss system was set up, but the online itself had many holes. As is the case for all goddamn Wii games. Which is why I'm on PC x)


Wii online could have had SO MUCH going for it... >_<

I do not find it to hard. At times I do get a few uber players But then I still get a few chances here and there to finish first.

 

But my question was when I play with friends in the friends menu we only race with each other. Meaning if we are 3 we only have a 3 person race. I want to know if there is a way to be more and still play with my friends?
