I refuse to look at anymore press for Entrenchment. It's driving me completely nuts not being able to play it.
I know when it comes out but I'm not telling. 
edit: PS. I don't really know when it comes out, so don't message me asking. lol
Unfortunetly, the 1st isn't the real date...
That's just a place holder they put on Impulse. If I remember correctly, they said that we would be playing the beta over Xmas. Hopefully we'll see something before then. I would guess that there will be no forewarning whatsoever for when the beta or the final version will be available. One day, people will log onto Impulse and it will be there. No announcement, just to avoid any backlash if they have to push the day back.
How hard would it be for the usually very communicative Stardock/Ironclad to give their loyal, preordering fans, who have been waiting since Nov 18th, just an estimate on when the beta will start?
Would that kill someone? An estimate?
OMG!!! That thing is awesome!!! It's inspired me to play as the Vasari!!! (i assume it's Vasari)

The problem with an estimate is that if something happens and it has to be pushed back, everyone will complain. And I mean complain even more than they are now.

Haha, a few complaints won't stop people from buying this game and all of it's expansions!!!
Wait to you see this Starbase in action...there is something particularily unique/powerful about it 
Bah, it wasn't so much the estimate last time that got a lot of hate but the post on the front page saying the patch was coming out on an exact date and that everything was ready...and then it turned out to be delayed because not everything was ready.
Regardless, good luck IC and SD getting us our precious Entrenchment in good shape and soon. Me want. 
Yeah, well... Not to beat a dead horse, but it's a bit too late for that. RELEASE date was Nov 18th. It's already been pushed back. Pushed back a LOT. Pushed back a mere two days before release, even though people had pre-ordered, and yet there wasn't much griping.
Why? Because we all heard the beta was being released intead, and that was fine, because it was all the same either way.
Misplaced enthusiasm.
It's starting to sound like I'm bitching, which nobody listens to, so I'll be quite, but really, a day, a week, a month, a year? It'd be nice to know what scale of time we're talking about.
Yeah, this starbase, Craig, looks NICE!!! That huge ball looks like the Space Egg spawned from there. Haha, It looks good...obviously...Can't wait til Advent...for sure.

An estimate would be great! I think the reason for the backlash was because the 18th sounded like it was set in stone. If it is specifically said this next date is an estimate and it ends up being pushed back again, people would be more understanding. Well some of them would.
I see the dawn of war 2 beta, the demigod beta 2, and a few others coming soon. I hope I have enough time to play test entrenchment too!

sweet. now, that's a curious structure, from the looks of it, the thing must be massive!
you know, maybe the guys here (including myself) would be a bit happier, if we knew what exactly caused or is causing the delay and what tasks, what stuff has still to be done before the release. you don't need to give us a time estimate, but if we knew what issues still have to be resolved, we would understand better and appreciate your efforts more I think.
One of the Frasers, or a moderator, or a IC/SD person, someone, said they will not give a release date because of the fallout they had over pushing 1.1 back a day. It was on another thread, but I don't remember which one.
To tell you the truth, I don't know what this means. lol
That definetly looks... Vasari. Your artists have deserved their christmas bonuses. Or atleast a pat on the back.
Now, in the spirit of the season: GIMME, GIMME, GIMME!! 
But that mysterious "can do" thing is hopefully = to what other 2 stations "can do" otherwise we will be having some major balancing issues...
