How did you pick your screen name

How did you pick your screen name

I was looking at some submissions for the GUI's when I thought to myself, "What made them think of that screen name?"From that thought and many like it, I decided to start this thread to enlighten others who might be asking themselves the same question.

So, if you could please share with the community how you chose your screen name, it would be greatly appreciated!

I'll start, My husband's name is Brian so, inevitably I am Brysgirl!(I'm sure the science behind that was mind-boggling)

You could have at least lied to us and said it was something cool like Visual Styler!

The cat wouldn't have dared... not if he wanted to keep his love marbles... and I'm sure that cat understood every word I ewer said to it. I'd only have to threaten: "Do you wanna go see the vet for a cut and tuck tommorow?" and he'd instantly behave.
End of quote

On that evidence I'd say your 'cat' is a dog.

REAL cats wouldn't give a toss what you thought/threatened....as revenge is always theirs.....;p

Ah, so that's why it barked when other cats came around!!!   Well I'll be! 8(|

Seriously, while the vet threat is somewhat an exaggeration, he was more responsive to voice commands, requests than any other cat I've known.  Like when it was bedtime and time for him to go outsisde, we'd only have to say so and he'd get up and go... or when we wanted to get up, hop off our laps when asked to.  Yup, he was a darned good cat... so good, in fact, I wouldn't want another as it would never live up to my expectations and fetch the morning paper for me. O:)

off topic, but....I had a cat named Dawg...never did come to you if you called out "kitty". In fact, he would give you the furry eyeball and walk away. Now, my Stevie cat...you ask if he wants tub, and he is there....literally...waiting for you to turn on the water so it drips down. He is a weird kitty. Fat too.

I am a retired farmer, & in England farmers are known as Country Yokels, hence the screen name.

Country Yokel is also a name given to people who are not perhaps the sharpest nail in the box, which suits me fine as over the years I have benifited a lot from letting people think I am a country yokel, if people feel superior to you, it is surprising what information they will let slip.

lol Doc, but Jafo's right.. for years I though cats were stupid because they wouldn't do/learn the thing's dogs could.. but it was because dogs are so stupid [though I love them] and will do ANYTHING for your affections.. whereas a cat will look at you like you're a lunatic and think.. stuff you budd, I ain't running after no ball.. let the dog get it

Mine’s real complicated. Ten years ago WebTV gave me my billing name as a nic, DCloud. That was taken here so I added my middle name Paul, so now I’m DPCloud.

Wow, I missed this oneX| would have responded sooner. I was a Dj (DiskJockey) for 14 years. I used to spin only records and another name for records was wax. Since I played the wax I became waxplayer. However, it is written w4xpl4y3r because I used to go into yahoo chat and tweaked it a little. I met my future wife on yahoo chat, so to this day I continue using the name w4xpl4y3r.|-O

I know... that's why ours were removed. :-"

Nah, seriously, he was a great cat and was never a problem... never got sick in the 20 years I had him and was always well behaved... only ever crapped in the house once as a kitten, but from then on he always went outside and would let me know if he couldn't get out.

:)

Well mine came from Monty Python and The Holy Grail.   One of my favorites characters from the movie.  Even with no arms or legs he still refuses to give up.
