Transfer Achievments

Locating file to copy

Hi,

 

I bought the game while I was traveling and played a lot on my laptop.  When I got home I installed on my desktop, but i dont want to start over with my achievments.  I don't want to hack them either.  Is there a way to copy them, even if its just locating a file on my laptop and replaceing the same one on my desktop.

chances are you can just copy and paste the entire file (game and all) to your pc.  at least it works for Word '03

I believe the file you need to copy and paste is located at:

X:\Documents and Settings\Owner(or whatever you have it called)\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Setting\achievements.achievements

Make sure you have the 'show hidden files' option checked in Tools -> Folder Options -> View

Transfer that to the same location on the other computer and you should be in business.  If transferring the file isn't the easiest option for others, you can also open that file with Notepad or Wordpad and just change the ones you know you received from FALSE to TRUE.
