Unfortunetly harpo is right.  I can not get Entrechment since I can not get a credit card (I'm 15 and I have to be 16 at least) I have asked stardock to release a boxed version of the expansion but I'm 100% sure they won't do it.  I'd be willing to pay double for a boxed version, so 20bux.  I have asked whether anyone knows if I can do a mail in cash payment but I don't know if I can yet.  It's dissapointing because I know that this mod will eventually die with no entrechment compatible version and I can't do that unless they make it available to buy with a physical payment (store, or mail in payment).

Impulse is great for updating but as far as a place to sell stuff I don't think it will succeed becasue there are many many people like me who can't get their hands on a credit card and in turn can't get the full experience of the game.  Wish me luck though, and if any user of this mod would like to be a modder of UE that would be willing to make an entrechment compatible version of EVERY release I would really appreciate it.

well my moms credit is shot (long story) and my mom and dad are divorced.  they're both pretty poor on top of that so that doesn't help much.  As for my dad, he kinda did somethin stupid so he isn't makin any money rite now.

I have really great news for both Vanilla Sins and Entrechment Sins users.

Urban expansion Version 1.2 WILL BE BOTH ENTRECHMENT AND VANILLA SINS COMPATIBLE!

I have now gotten entrechment thanks to a very nice guy named Rick, who's username I will not post here since I don't want anyone bombarding him with messages asking him for entrechment.  He gifted it to me on impulse and I can't thank him enough.

Urban Expansion Version 1.3 will only be Entrechment compatible though, so the last update for Vanilla Sins Urban Expansion will be Version 1.2.  Sorry to Vanilla Sins users on that but switching between the versions is not that easy and it is time consuming so that is the reason.

By using Entrenchments modding capabilities I think I am able to do something I have always wanted in the game.  I will not tell you what that is yet since I want it to be unique to Urban Expansion and saying my idea here before even trying it, may make it get stolen.  I assure you it is a very good gameplay element and it will utilize multiple meshes.  That's just a hint so you don't get to confused as to what it is, but I think it will turn out great!

Once again, thank you Rick, you a great guy and I can't thank you enough!

i just downloaded the mod and installed it and i have noticed no changes i have both vanilla 1.16 and entrenchment 1.02 i also noticed a string not found error ! any thought s?

1.2 has not been released yet.  On this forum post I say which version is the current version (it's at the top of the page).  The current version is 1.1, and the reason you may be having problems is because 1.1 is not entrenchment compatible.  Whenever I release a new version I change the version number in the name of the thread to the version that is released and at the top of this post I also update the version number.  Version 1.2 will be released (if everything goes well) this Sunday.

I have not yet released a new version.  Were you using version 1.0 before?  Version 1.1 is the current version

I am very sorry to say I will have to delay Urban Expansion 1.2's release.  This is mainly because I encountered a very very very big problem with the Dwarf Planets, I know how to fix it but it will take a long time.  I think the latest should be next Sunday but I think I should have it released earlier than that.  Sorry for the delay.  On a brighter note, I have successfully created the brown star and it's icons and it's skyboxes.  I have also made the purple star use entrechments purple skybox as well adding a 5th skybox to the purple star.  The other stars may get an extra skybox as well for variety.

kk thanks for the info, where exactly was it that you found the errors you did?  I am in the process of redoing the mod for Entrechment 1.02 so this info would be helpful.

XselenS I apologize for doing this on your thread but you seem to have people who actually know what their doing with sins. Im about to have my hard drive replaced and i will lose all my sins info. Is there a way that i can patch sins only to V 1.12 i dont really wanna loose any of my mods because most everything ive run across works with 1.12 and it seems like a good version. Any help would be appreciated.

redrevolution129 the only way(s) that I know of are 1 image copy of the entire hard drive onto either an external hdd or a set of optical discs( my choice would be the hdd) OR 2 copy the entire program files\stardock games & the user space ironclad games\sins folders to again either external hdd or DVD(s) (again my choice would be the external hdd) and also all other files you want to keep

there are other backup media but these are the most commonly used media now.

my advice is based upon my decades of experience as an IT professional in australia

Hey, XselenS! I just wanted to say thanks for making this indispensible mod for Sins! I've recently switched to Entrenchment and have realized how much I've taken your mod for granted. It's so hard to play the game with so few planet types! haha. And, I remember reading that you were only 15 o_O When I was 15, I was dreaming of making mods merely half this good. I don't know how you do it, but kudos! I don't like mods like 7DS, or ones that I feel change the scope of the game, but your mod really keeps the original Sins feel, while adding on to it. It's like Sins should have never been made without it. haha. So, I justed wanted to say thanks, and good luck with the new version!

XselenS, I would like to ask your permission to add parts of your mod to a mod I am creating callled Galactic Sins. It will be a massive compilation of planets and stars for Entrenchment 1.02. I will of course give you full credit for any part I use and would ghreatly appreciate it.

im not sure if anyone has mentioned this, XselenS, but you can buy entrenchment, and most things online, with paypal, and it doesn't require a credit card, only a bank account.

Sorry for the long long long delay again guys...well my computers CPU burnt out, turns out the power supply just couldn't cut it.  Anyways I bought a new CPU and power supply and everything is stable now (hopefully).  Thankfully my harddrives are fine so I lost no mod progress but unfortunetly the work that I put into making my mod entrechment compatible was useless since once I finally ported everything over (finished it yesterday) it dumped.  I looked everywhere I could and found no errors whatsoever so I think there might be one wrong line somewhere in the mod but since there are so many files it is going to be very hard to find (since my debug mode of sins won't work without a reinstall and at the moment I can't do that).  Once I copy the mod I will reinstall sins and run the debug mode, hopefully I will find the little shit but if I don't I will have to redo the entrechment compatible version.  There is a plus side to this however.  Since the mod will be reworked it will be 100% compatible with 1.03 instead of being 100% compatible with 1.02.  I don't know whether that will give a performance boost to the mod or not but let's hope it does :)

Ok so here is the new plan for 1.2, (for like the third time...lmao).  I am 99% sure the mod will work flawlessly in Vanilla Sins, and via Impulse it is possible to play Vanilla sins even with Entrechment installed, so I will release Urban Expansion 1.2a once I get everything double checked and stabled out some more one more time.  After this I will begin reporting everything to an Entrechment version which will be called 1.2b.  On top of that I will be porting things over differantly so hopefully no errors sneak through this time around.  I will be making a merge ready version of the mod, this way I am isolating the mod files from the Sins files and it makes things easier for me.  By doing this you (modders) who want to merge my mod, can do it much easier too :).  I am not sure how long this will take and knowing my bad luck with setting release dates I will not be setting one.  I will be updating the progress pretty often though so you know what's going on.  Sorry for the LONG delay again xD

Sup guys,

So I just wanted to let you know I have a partial UE working in Entrechment, however I can't work on the mod until the end of the month (July) because I'm seeing my dad and a couple of buddies I have up here in Edmonton until then.  Sorry for so many delays.

Thanks to rjhughes67 UE finally has a banner too!

Here's what I got working in Entrechment so far from what I remember.

1.  The brown Star, White Star and Purple Star.
2.  Sins Plus Planets.
3.  All custom skyboxes for all seven stars in the game.

That's all for now but I still have the files for all the content that 1.2 has, all I have to do is convert it to an entrechment version.  Thanks for waiting!

Yay! You're back :) Thanks for putting so much work into this. I can't wait until you have the Entrenchment version done, I haven't played SoaSE in a whole because without your mod, it just feels entirely too plain. It's really something they should consider designing into the game. Anyway, welcome back! :)

Hahaha thanks for the support!  Yah I can't wait till I get the entechment version done as well cuz I make the mod not only for you guys but for me too xD.  Once again sorry for the long long wait, I know it's probably frustrating you guys, but I promise that 1.2 will have been worth the wait when it is FINALLY released.
