Knights and Merchants Runs very slow

I have a couple issues with Knights and Merchants. First, it runs very, very slowly for some reason, a large lag when you click on things to when they are selected, and thing move slowly in general. To the point where clicking on something once doesn't seem to do anything, and multiple clicks are required.

The second is the graphics. The colors don't run quite right unless you minimize and maximize it again. The game is still godawful slow, but it looks right then, at least.

I am running Vista Home, and definitly meet the requirments hardware wise. Drivers are all updated, not usre what's wrong.

I've had the same problem, on vista too. Was the first game I bought for the PC years ago, I haven't seen any more support for it around recently, but the slow speed stops you playing and the ai dies when you reload a save-game, just stops building anything new. Also annoying even if you can cope with the lag.

Hmm, doubt we'll see a solution, in any case. What manner of system are you using? Perhaps it's something we have in common.

I've been using my laptop so:

Vista 32

2.0GHz AMD

GeForceGo6100

1G RAM with another 1 Turbocache'd

Used to play KAM on my old computer 333MHz, 3Gig...hard drive lol, first ever game so it's a shame it doesn't like vista
