Do you have to be apart of a click?

Just a friendly tip: skin for yourself, not for recognition.

Well I looked at your gallery and it looks like only one of your walls is in the main gallery (this also happens to be the one commented on).  Therefore, people probably aren't commenting on your walls becouse they don't see them.  The only way they could would be if they were to go to your personal site here on wincustomize.  I don't really think there are "clicks" just people who are on wc a lot and like to comment/talk/upload/etc. with each other.  Hope this helps!

To help clarify that a little more....When a wallpaper gets rated at less than 2 1/2 stars, it is only seen on your personal page. That means it is not in the main gallery for everyone to see. I have been sending up a few like that myself lately. It happens.  Pat yourself on the back and contact Po Smedly about your personal page elite award. Then keep trying.   Short answer: you don't need to be in a "click".  Just improve on your work. Like said before...skin for you, and recognition will come.

If you want to get to know people better, why not hang around in the forums from time to time....there are enough games going on at the moment to jump in and have some fun..get to know people.  I'm sure you can arrange time to combine doing some forum cruising as well as your art. 

Also, you do not need to plaster DEMO etc...over your walls...the right click/set to background does not work....and nobody is going to want to printscreen your work to do you out of a download...and it is not presenting your work in the best light.

Another hint....many of your walls have text on them....which never seems to be very popular on walls.

I can't recall seeing you commenting in the galleries, do you comment on others work?....maybe they would notice and check out yours in return, another good way, along with the forums, to get to know people.

Keep at it...it's obviously something you enyoy....your Eye wall that made it to the gallery is very striking.  

 

You said it there yourself. Each one of these walls look as if they are ten minute creations in Photoshop. If you want to create walls that are 'noticed', then you need put in the time and effort required.

You get out what you put in.

Text is never good on wallpapers, it is too distracting. It is also one of the 'red flags' for moderators and is never likely to impress.

Also, if you insist on using text on wallpapers, you may wish to check your spelling before public release

Nope,no clicks,clacks, clocks or clucks here.Just two types of people,those that can create great work and those,(like myself) who appreciate the work that goes into them.Keep at it and as was stated before,create for yourself,focus on that and you will improve.

I always create dreams for myself,if i like it i upload it then if others like it thats great.

Good, critical comments are rare.  Mostly you see nicce, but useless "nice job" which doesn't help much for personal growth. Thankfully you see very few flames either.

 

Here is what i would do; I'd create a post here in the forums with screen shots to what you think are your three best walls and tear tehm apart while asking for members to do the same.  "This is what I liked about this wall, this is what I disliked.  What do you all think."

You don't seem to read Sydneysiders, or don't care too, I said I was busy back then helping others with pain, and now I don't, meaning I have too much pain at times, so yes, it is a release for my pain I make these pictures, and what the heck do you mean about 10 min on all my art work??? You took a picture of what is a hill side and you get it all marked up, and my houses took me weeks to make. I want you to make one of those under 10 min, and be real about it too.. This is what I mean about being rude and clicks.. The others in here, I thank you all for your comments. This picture he took, but got all kinds of high marks on it, seems to be a click to me I am talking about, that or I am missing all the focusing he did on the picture or something? o0.. The Van I built for my wife, yes it too took less them 10 min to make like your picture did, but kids these days rather see that then to see the a mountain side, and you don't even want to know how much money it took to make that $$$$$$.. I think you should read before you speak, as far as the other articles of mine, I said "I removed them", and I did this because someone said "you are unable too", well bingo! Gone!. It seemed to me no one wanted to go down that road, so I simply removed them all, and they wont be coming back any time soon neither lol.. Hay, we all make mistakes people, but I would think you have fallen 100 feet on to steal and broke your spine all up in 8 places, or had to learn to walk again, or learn how to speak again, so no, I don't hang out in articles, this is what I said above, "I was busy trying to help people who were going threw what I was before", so be a little tad easyer when you come out to helping someone.. We can make points with out killing one another, then kiss them on the way out. I know this seems to be the way of the web, but how about me make a change all.. Rico . . a few things.

1. Breaks in your text make it easier to read and more likely that someone will read and resopnd.
2. SydneySiders (and others) are trying to give good help and feedback.  Listn more than you speak and you may get what you want.
3. Gettting feedback from only "positivve" people may not help you as much as you want.

Rude....is when you whinge in forums for people to comment on your walls....people take the time out to leave 5 positive comments on your wallpaper....and you do this to it...

Yes....I am part of a clique....a clique of about 3 1/2 million....you are too....what you make of it is up to you....

 

 

 

 

 

There are cliques....there are groups of people who have come to know other people...and look out for their [new] work ... and comment on it as a matter of course.

Continued activity/interest with the site will see you attract/gather your own group of people....although re-inventing yourself with a name change [with or without a gender reassignment] is likely going to alienate people through simple confusion.

There are currently [today] 3.397 million site members so you'll likely meet up with some kindred spirits soon enough....;)

It is a pity you removed your wall from the gallery...it was quite striking...and would have been a good one to build on....

We all have rejections to personal galleries (well..most of us)...maybe at some stage you will have a rethink of some of the advice above....and try again.
