For those of you who have been in the Demigod beta so far, the thing to remember is that that build has been a mere engine test.

Beta 2 is where the real game mechanics come in. The actual "fun" part of the game really starts to show up.  Generals, upgradable Citadels, strategic objectives, etc.  It should also be the first big availability of ImpulseReactor's "cloud" multiplayer (if it works right, it should make getting games going a snap).  We're hoping to get this out before the Thanksgiving break.

yeah! i hope you will come op on release with a cool map editor like we had it in Warcraft 3, which was the basic instrument for such freakingly amazing shit like DotA and so -> demigod... that map editor was one of the reasons why warcraft 3 is still alive. i realy hope this will be available in demigod as well

Maps in Demigod are pretty much all made from importing models and other effects, so you aren't going to be creating your own terrain an' such in it.

Frogboy, I am in the beta already, but think it should be clarified.  When you say "all pre-order players will have access", do you mean there is NO deadline to enter this beta?  In other words, if someone purchases the beta in Decmeber, are they instantly in the beta and can download the game?

Yes, you will DEFINATELY get in.  :D

 

Anyone who orders the beta before the beta 2 release will get in. 

 

Also, it seems frogboy may be stating from Beta 2 on, is open to all those who have or will purchase the game up until release.  I am however unclear on this point and am waiting for confirmation.
