Less of me lately

death in the family

Hey guys, just a short note to let those of you who have been playing the games threads, I will be MIA for a day or two due to my Wife's 93 yr. old aunt's death. She has been sick a long time and is better off now....no more suffering. But I will soon be back, just real busy in and out of town, you know how it goes.  Please...go ahead and continue play without me ( as if you would stop and wait...lol) and I will catch up when this is over.

When I was in university I worked at a nursing home for retired nuns.  It changed how I looked (and look) at death.  You've likely never seen so many people so looking forward to death.  Not because they were sick and in pain (although many were) but because they had spent thier lives serving God and were ready to be called home.

Good thoughts going out to your wife's family.  Take care of them as best you can.

Jim, please accept my condolences. We'll be here waiting...so do what you have to do, and take your time.

Needless to say, I've seen a lot of death...medicine, war...but that doesn't lessen the impact of "The Second Miracle" (if birth/life is the first, how could death not be the second?).

Just because we don't know what's next doesn't mean there isn't "a next". From my late wife's passing, I learned and can assure you there IS a next.

Holding good thoughts for you!

You just described my Mom too, only she died at home. She was always saying she was ready and wanted to go home, so she did. Home to be with her Jesus.

Well, we got her buried today. It has been a hectic few days, but she is happy now and with the Lord. We buried her in Rogersville Tn.  I saw someone in Charlie's restaurant who looked a lot like David Roman, who is in Rogersville, I believe, But I wasn't sure it was. So David, if you read this, I saw you and wasn't being rude, just unsure...lol. Thanx for all the thoughts and words of encouragement. Zub, you hit it on the head!

I am always saying to friends and family....I am ready to go, and sorta looking forward to it, for the moment I leave this body, I will KNOW what those of you I leave behind can only speculate about. There definitely is a next, that is what we are training for here, building character, and getting ready for the next!  I do look forward to it!   O:)
