New Token-Ready TotalGaming.net Games

New Token-Ready TotalGaming.net Games

In an effort to give all those who still have TotalGaming.net tokens faster access to the games we're adding, I've decided to start posting their purchase links for tokens directly on this page.  For those customers who don't have tokens and are wondering what I'm talking about, please head over to ImpulseDriven.com - that's our new store and has the same games available plus dozens more.

As we continue to add games to Impulse that qualify for Tokens, we'll update this list. All of the games listed on the TotalGaming.net website are still available for sale using Tokens, PayPal or credit cards (though we prefer you head over to Impulsedriven.com if you're not using Tokens).  To order a game using tokens, please click the ORDER or PRE-ORDER link - the game name will take you to the Impulse store page for more info, but you will not be able to use tokens there.

Note: All of the above games require Impulse to download and install; they will not be made available on the old Stardock Central system.  The system requirements for Impulse are:

  • Windows XP/Vista
  • Internet Explorer 7.0
  • Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0
  • Athlon/Pentium III (1GHz or higher)
  • 512MB RAM
  • 1GB HD space recommended
  • If you have any questions, please feel free to post to this thread and I'll reply to you as soon as I can.

We could try posting in the forum.  I think that would get more notice.  I still would like to know about using 4 tokens to pay for part of a 6 token game.

You can email stardock directly ([email protected] I think) to buy any missing tokens to complete your purchase. In your example you'd ask stardock to buy 2 tokens and then you can get Elemental with your last tokens.
From then on in you can only order directly through impulse.

This is what I did, which is not terribly convenient but it works.

Yarlen explained it in this thread: http://tgnforums.stardock.com/315721/get;1797720

Well it looks like the links have finally been fixed and I was able to use my tokens to purchase a game. I would still like to know if I can purchase Entrenchment with my remaining tokens. Anyone here been able to do that? The link at the top points me to impluse and I do not see a token purchase option there.

If you click the word "PRE ORDER" it will get you to a page that allows you to use the tokens. If you click the name of the game you will go to impulse.

    For entrenchment try http://totalgaming.stardock.com/store/index.aspx?page=confirm&ID=SINX1&PRODUCT_ID=ESD-TGN-W302

Could you do me and other users a favor by editing that post to give exact instructions on how to order and download?  Specifically you should probably note in there that you can only use the tokens using the "ORDER" / "PRE-ORDER" links and no the title links (which go to impulsedriven which doesn't seem to support tokens).  Also, once purchased, could/should we then use Impulse to download the tokens-purchased game?  Again it would be helpful to have that info in your "sticky" post so those of us still jinglin' tokens in our digital pockets know what to do. :)

MANY THANKS!  w00t w00t w00t to Stardock for digitally distribution of games!  Pity the poor overpriced mall game stores and the poor gas stations not bleeding us dry fueling brick and mortar shopping trips! :)

Any word how much DemiGod will cost using Tokens?  I have 6 left and am trying to figure what to use them for |-)

Demigod costs 5 tokens - it's in the list now. ;)

Sorry for the delay gang. I've also added Sins: Entrenchment to the list. I had to remove some games because Lighthouse Interactive has gone out of business.

Thanks for continuing addition of titles for those still having tokens.

That is a real "customer first" attitude.

PS: just bought SINS and entrenchment. My next will be GC3. I'm too old to learn too many games.

Is it possible to buy Sword of the Stars with Tokens? It says it is 1 token but when you click to buy there is no option to buy with tokens. Anyway you can help would be nice, thx

Sorry for the uber-late response.  Sword of the Stars is now published by Paradox, which we don't have a token contract with (previously it was published by Lighthouse Interactive).

Will I be able to PreOrder Sins of a Solar Empire Diplomacy with Tokens later?

Any word on tokens for the Sin's: Diplomacy expansion yet?

    Two questions:

    1)  Any more word on the coupon conversion option?

    2)  The option to pre-order Elemental has disappeared from the list -- will the game come back before/at its release?

May i get my rest of the tokens to pay for new expansion Diplomacy of Sins of a Solar Empire? Please do not leave us along.....

I have just known the tokens i purchase from you will be invalid by limited days count till to march 2010. It will be unfair to us.

Please provide the people who purchased your TGN tokens a solution and satisfy your loyal customers. Thanks.

Is anyone from Stardock monitoring this thread any more?  Are those of us who bought tokens in good faith scr*wed?

I'm getting the weekly "Weekend Impulse Buys" emails, and while I don't expect most new 3rd-party games to be available via token, I would like to be able to buy Stardock's own Elemental, or to take advantage of the coupon program that was mentioned nearly _A_YEAR_ ago.

My decision to buy (or not) anything else via Impulse is being significantly influenced by Stardock's support (or lack thereof) for the token system.

    Bump

I'd like to use my remaining tokens up as well (would like SotSE Diplomacy would consider Elemental). How about a coupon code that is flexible. Suggestion example: I have 3 tokens, Stardock can send three codes to me via e-mail: a code to use one token, two tokens, and three tokens. I could use the one token code 3 times separate times on three different products, or use one on one product and the two code on another, or last just use the 3 code on one product. Just throwing ideas out. It would be nice however to use them on any products you offer.

Well, it seems that whoever still has tokens is - one way or another - screwed!

I still have *seven* tokens - and could buy Sins for four of them - but hey, the price in cash is much lower now (more like the equivalent of two tokens). Something that holds for Political Machine, too (two tokens vs. next-to-nothing on weekend-sale).

And there are many more examples...

I definitely do not feel like spending my tokens on games that are ("feel") much cheaper in cash - and I won't spend my money on something that I have tokens for.

Will there *ever* be an adjustment of token based prices? It looks that this is not intended. So whoever trusted Stardock buying tokens (and advance-paying them) is now in the "fine" situation of either paying twice the amount worth in tokens (compared to cash) for just about any game or sooner or later loosing their tokens entirely. Great!

If this is not going to change - and I start to doubt it will - I'll spend my remaining tokens on better-than-nothing-cr*p and "Good-Bye Stardock!"

It's frustrating but I learned my lesson.
