Revved up Windows Task Manager & Figure Out What's Wrong

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx

Hey folks! I just ran across  a really useful, FREE and small (1.6 MB) to help diagnose "Hey, what's going on here?" and "What's slowing me down?"

It could save you some long downtimes trying to get help from Microsoft, your PC's manufacturer, and the software company (each telling you that it's the other guy's stuff that's causing the "problem"), and will help detect "bad stuff" and let you research it more quickly (i.e. "How do I know if this is the bad guy and how do I get rid of it?").

Hope this helps!

;)

P.S. The external link is to a review in technet. Software by Mark Russinovitch.

The SysInternal suite of apps is simply awesome.  Mark's a nice guy too.  :)

Yes, its really useful, a Super task manager deluxe  .

A word of warning, though: some versions of SecuRom throw a fit when its running, a restart used to be required before a SecuRom game could be started, but i think that was fixed.

So right, Zu. I don't know Mark, but I seriously respect him and the suite of apps he's written. Here's a link to their homepage for anyone who wishes to take a peek:

I can't tell you how truly useful they are.

And what's better....they're FREE!
