Wincustomize Speeds/Slowdowns

So that everyone is aware next week Wincustomize will be hosted on a new server based out of Chicago. Currently hardware and staff are being transported there. Weather forecasts as follows:

Chance of temporary slow downs, followed by intermittent hiccups in the early part of the week.

Later in the week expect great speed ups, better uploads, and sunny days! Bring the kids!

In all seriousness thank you for your continued patience as we improve our websites and services.

Sounds like a smooth bumpy flight, with sporadic cases of motion sickness!

As a precaution, double up on the barf bags!

Thanx Seabass.  I'm really looking forward to the landing!

This sounds like an acknowledgement of the problem and a plan to address it. Just what I had asked for. I appreciate someone giving a heads up and I sure hope it solves the problems of slow site speeds. Kuddos for efforts. Thanks.:)

I'm much more of a cynic than most would know. Fact is this is the first big step to improve things around the website. If it doesn't work we will take the next step, and if that one fails we will take a break, have a coffee, burn something down, and then try again. Everything execpt the burning down part.

I just want the comunity to know that we are listening and taking steps to improve things and even if it works we will contiune that same train of thought. :)

Thanks for the heads up Seabass. I was really getting frustrated on this speed thing. I slowed down my visit here because of slowdowns and not being able to upload stuff. not really fun waiting 3 minuets for the start page to load as it freezes my browser up.

Cant wait for the Fix:thumbsup:

Exactly what WeatherBound says, I also was getting frustrated, but I stuck it out, cos me' Family's there, but it really was frustrating as hell, and also caused me to stop frequenting the site as much k6 k6
