Sins of a Solar Empire v1.1 Beta 3 Coming Thursday

Any hint at what's going to be in the beta 4 release?

I'm tempted to tell you, but I'll need to hold back for now.

I like how 1.1 was supposed to be released mid-late September (at one point I believe this was true and I didn't see it change at all) and now it's early October and no one  (that I can see) is complaining. I think it's because the gamers here know what it takes to make a game good and support their developers. We have a great community here. So, take your time, IC. I'd rather wait an extra month or two and get an amazing update than get it early and buggy.

:)  I'm waiting expectantly... This is kinda like christmas, haha, 1.1 and then the expansion.

I did warn everyone that the 1.1 beta would be about 2 months long...

With luck the final version will be out later this month.

Is is possible to have 1.05 normal on my system and also run what ever the beta is? 1.9?? or 1.1? im not sure, sorry, in another folder on the drive?

Or is a one or the other deal?  and if I try it out, i guess as long as i wipe it clean, i can go back.

If you copy and paste your Sins v1.05 folder elsewhere, it should work if you runs the Sins exe manually (or create a shortcut to it).

Where do I find the beta in Impulse? It's not in the updates section of Sins?

right click on the blue orb in impluse, then click on "show pre-release versions"

its' been a while since I've touched base with this all.  Presently, I'm running version 1.05, from reading this thread, everyone is talking about 3 and 4 beta's, 4 to be released soon, is this something that will be downloadable thorugh the Impulse download utility?  Am I at the current version that I need to be w/v.1.05?

This is the third iteration of the 1.1 beta patch, so beta 3. You can only get it through Impulse, by selecting "show pre-release versions" in the blue orb menu. The version number for it is 1.096.

It`s been a long time, I`ve had the same thoughts.  Apparently it`s still comming.  The first micro expansion is due on Nov 18/08.  So maybe they`re comming out the sameday I guess?

How about fixing AI control in multiplayer.  Alot of times you have teammates that quit on you and now you have an AI as a teammate.  Unfortunately, the AI doesn't follow your commands to well.  Will this be fixed?

Seriously, if you're not yet on beta, go check it out. Online is way more stable, the balance and pace of the game is a lot better. Also, the more people testing the sync error the quicker this thing will come out.

Yeah, I posted this in another thread, but the online community has become badly split with people running the 1.05 version and lots of others going to 1.1beta because it's a better build of the game.  I bet most of the 1.05 users don't realize in impulse they have to ask for pre-release versions. 

Anyway, I did do some sync testing today with someone online, but we didn't have a sync error.

Everyone I know is waiting for 1.1, its been in beta forever and now its just vaporware.

Sins has died, far too long dithering. Shame, a very good game spoiled with bad balance and slow fix.
