No sound in Vista 64 HP notebook with what vista says are updated drivers...

Gotta say the game looks like it will be great... and I'm reading all this stuff about how great the music is...

But I can't get any sound at all.

Now the readme said that there was a chance that old drivers would potentially cause no sound to play, but I just had vista (that clumbsy crap horse) do an update of my drivers and it says its all there updated...

Does anyone have this experience and was there a fix?

Windows update is not generally known for its reliability in recognizing the latest drivers.

To check what version you have exactly (and what hardware), please post a dxdiag report. You can do so by:

Click Start->Run-> type in dxdiag and click OK.

Once it finishes, click the Save All button, give it a name, then open that file up in Notepad, copy+paste everything to pastebin.com or similar, and post the link here (please do not paste the report directly here as very long texts like that can make the page difficult to read).
