Another day, another milestone
Can you stand it?

So it seems like just yesterday I was writing about how Krystal finally has a tooth. Okay, maybe it seems like two days ago. But anyway! Yesterday she was playing under the ping-pong table and somehow managed to flop her arms over one of the struts and end up kind of standing up. I wasn't entirely sure if it should count as a full stand because her arms were carrying some weight as well as offering balance, but it was still impressive.
Well, today she put any doubts to rest. As Ann and I were chatting about getting ready to put her to bed, she started grabbing at the coffee table and making little grunt/crab kinds of noises. We kept talking for another minute and then suddenly I had to say "Look, Look!!" She was in a full-fledged, knees straight, hands-only and strictly for balance, no-nonsense standing stance!
WHOO!
Yeah, I'm excited. Ten months, eight days old. Not the earliest by any stretch, but certainly right on target. She'll probably be walking like a champ by her birthday! And we'll have to start putting shoes on her soon, too, I guess. Which means we'll have to buy her some shoes. At least she'll be a lot less hard on the knees of her pants.
I guess on Wednesday she'll start waving, and on Friday she'll probably say Mama and Dada specifically and with meaning. She's just cranking out the achievements all of a sudden.
