How do I re-install game if I own downloaded version?

First of all if this has been covered please tell me the name of the thread; I have been searching and searching but I'm afraid that there are too many too scroll through for me to reach an answer any time this year :D

So does anyone know how to reinstall the downloaded version of the game. Do I need to make a copy of the game onto a CD? The reason I ask is because the game continues to crash every game I play. If I reload the game from a save point the game still crashes every time, and at the same turn, no matter what I do differently. I was hoping that a reinstall would fix this as it has in previous games I have owned. This "crash" has also kept me from playing on the Metaverse for fear of a game crash and possibly losing the game because of it.

BTW to correct my previous post.....ToA is the one that keeps crahing on me DL and DA have always worked just fine.

If you want to reinstall, just right click it in Impulse and uninstall it, then when done, install it again the same as the first time.

Thank you very much Kryo! I think a reinstall should fix my problem. But if it does not should I uninstall; remove Twilight folders ; and then install agian?

Perhaps. If so be sure to remove all files in My Games too as it may be a prefs, a save game or even some ship style or custom race that is borked and causing your crashes. Clearing out My Games will be sure to see that you start with a clean slate.

If this continues to happen to you after the re-install, go into the twilight folder and look for a debugg.err file and post it's contents after the game crashes into this thread, or a fresh one asking for crash help.  That information will help the devs or fellow forum users try and find the problem.  If that doesn't help, installing Stardock's free program SmartException will gather more crash information for them to parse thru to try and find the problem.
